Connect Socially, 7 Ways To Improve Your Social Life

We are social animals, there’s no doubt about that.

We evolved by cooperating and working together, whether it be for hunting, caring for children, or basically any other activity known to man.

Now I’m not one to have social skills as my very strongest suite, due to serious health issues over the years, but I do still know and agree on the importance of it.

For mental and physical health and well-being, at the very least.

So, if you don’t got this area of your life sorted already, with a decent social network of friends, family and/or a partner to reach out to and hang out with, you’ll want to take heed and listen up.

There are lots of ways to reach out to and meet people today, so why not start with and focus on the simplest ones!

Connect Socially – 7 Ways To Improve Your Social Life

And first we have:

1. Social Online And Dating Apps

Online forums, dating apps and social apps are a modern way to meet people in this day and age, and one I myself have made use of a lot over the years.

Tinder is the dating example of choice, while I’ve also tried apps like Badoo and others for getting social.

Even just chatting or participating in online forums can help too, no irl meeting required.

Reddit comes to mind, but social media in general (Instagram, Faacebook) does too.

2. Local Communities

Local communities can also oftentimes be found online, and are a great way to meet like-minded, or different, people to spend time and socialize with.

Search on Google and be creative!

3. Church

Going to church can seem like a distant option for socializing if you’re not religious, but to go to church, you don’t need to be.

Thus, a great way to socialize with and meet more people.

The community most people used to get through church back in the day, and have since lost, is missed by many whether they know it and miss it or not.

So, try getting back to church!

4. Volunteer Somewhere

Volunteering is a great way to meet some more people, and do some good for a noble cause at the same time.

There are so many places to volunteer though, so know that you’re needed, and try one out!

5. Join A Class Or Club

Joining a class or club of your liking is another great way to get social, while learning something new of your interest.

Try dancing, knitting, painting, learn a musical instrument, or do some woodworking.

6. Hit The Gym Or Join A Sports Team

The gym is a great place to work out together and to meet new people.

And similar to the above one, gyms often have exercise classes too to make the workout more intimate and social.

A sports team is similar in the sense that you also get active together, giving you a health boost as well.

7. Improve Your Social Skills

This last one is more indirect, and about how good you are with people rather than how and where to meet them.

I suggest you read a book on the topic and do some googling, this old classic; How To Win Friends And Influence People is golden, sporting a 4,7 on Amazon.

Then I suggest you Google a bit on this, but overall, getting healthier overall should help you (better-working brain), improving your fashion, starting small (chatting online or one of the above alternatives).

Social

Improve your posture.

Ask questions and listen to whom you’re talking to.

Give compliments.

Say yes to social gatherings and hangouts more.

Conclusion

To Conclude

To conclude, if your social life and skills are not where you want them to be, you’ll do well by improving these, for your health, and for your life.

I suspect we only live once, which makes it all the more urgent, but who knows :).

So, try meeting some new people and see how it goes, and don’t miss out on that book above.
